The workshop manual and Haynes manual suggest that you can just pull
the fork apart with brute force; the idea being that the lower bushing
will bump into the upper bushing and push it (plus the fork seal)
upwards.
On my bike, this does not work! When I try to pull the stanchion up and out, it gets wedged and won't go back down again (without a fight). The harder I pull, the more wedged it gets. Let's see why .. |
